eXegete Client 4.0is a powerful tool that provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for VPLUS based applications running on the HPe3000 family of computers. This latest release includes numerous fixes from previous versions plus many new enhancements the most significant of which includes the ability to output XML form definitions for use with the new eXegete Web Server. This export utility will convert eScript that is associated with any screen to JavaScript when the XML conversion takes place.
eXegete Web Server 1.0is a new application server that runs on Microsoft's IIS Web Server providing web/browser access to HPe3000 based applications. Using the new functionality in eXegete Client 4.0 customers can create specialized XML based projects (groupings of screens) by exporting only the screens that they want to be accessible via the web. The eXegete Web Server includes a configuration utility that allows customers to configure what XML based project(s) a particular user can have access to. This adds an additional level of security to the application, because each web user will have a unique user id and password that provides access to only certain projects. These XML based projects can contain only a subset of screens thereby limiting access to the application.
eAM (eXegeSys Asset Management) version D.03.00is the latest release of eXegeSys's asset management application. While introduced at last year's user conference, this long awaited release is now available for new customer installations as well as an upgrade for existing eAM customers. In addition to a newly designed user interface (using the latest eXegete Client software) version D.03.00 includes new modules and functionality for the tracking, management, and maintenance of keys, tools, and fleet vehicles. Included in this new functionality is the ability to create and fulfill reservations for both tools and vehicles. Additionally this new release includes new web based work request and review screens that can be put on a customer's web page making is simple for requests for maintenance and repairs to be communicated to the maintenance organization.
